Reidar Langmo, Founder and Chairman, Oslo, Norway

Reidar was one of the founders of both ScanWafer (1994) and REC (2000) forming the platform for the world's leading solar company.  Reidar held positions as chairman and CEO both in REC and its subsidiaries.  In 2002, Reidar played a key role in connection with REC’s strategic acquisitions of ASiMI’s silicon plants.  In 2006 REC had the most successful clean energy IPO to date at ~$8B with current market cap arund $15B.  Reidar holds a MSc from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

John Torvik, Partner, Oslo Norway
Prior to joining iEnergies in 2007, Dr. Torvik served as VP/GM of Advanced Power Technologies. Prior to joining APTI, he was the co-founder and CEO of PowerSicel, Inc., a successful power semiconductor start-up company, which he managed from inception through acquisition. John began his professional career at Astralux, Inc, where he rose to VP of New Products. He also held a part-time EE faculty position at the Univ. of Colorado. John earned a BA in Physics from St. Olaf College, MEEE from Cornell University and Ph.D. from the Univ. of Colorado.

Erik Bjørstad,  Project manager, Oslo, Norway
Prior to joining iEnergies in 2008, Erik worked within Business Development in REC, one of the largest PV solar companies in the world, focusing on growth strategy and new business opportunities. Before REC, Erik worked as a management consultant in Arkwright Norway AS. From Arkwright, Erik has experience from several sectors such as private equity, oil & gas, retail banking and medical appliances. Erik holds a Masters Degree from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.

Mark E. Conroy, Operating officer, Pennsylvania, USA
Mark joined iEnergies after 28 years of global sales, service and operations experience at General Electric.  Prior to his present role, he served as General Manager of GE Solar Technologies, one of the major PV solar companies in North America and served on the Board of the Solar Energy Industries Association Mark attended the University of Delaware and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on solar energy. Mark resides with his family in southeastern PA and forms the USA part of iEnergies.


Team Korea


Hans Cho, Partner, Seoul, Korea
Mr. Cho has a broad background in Si-based technology. He founded Central Micronics Co.,Ltd  (CMC) in 1995,w hich produces low
temperature thin film silicon process equipment for LCD and OLED manufacturers.  Recently, CMC entered into PV power plant agreement
with REC to develop the clean technology application area.  Prior to CMC, Mr. Cho worked as technology and production manager at
LG Siltron, focusing on silicon crystal growing, wafering and characterization.  Mr. Cho is a graduate of the University of Hanyang,
Dept. of Inorganic Materials Science Engineering , in Seoul, South Korea.
